Dental Choices
Is fluoride the only dental material that people should know about or are there other potentially toxic components used in dentistry? Unfortunately most dentists blindly flollow the sales information published by dental manufacturers, without doing their own research. For that reason, most dentists do not realize the toxicity of the products they work with.
Several books have been published on the subject:
Reversing Cancer: A Journey from Cancer to Cure
Research documented by Dr. Gerald H. Smithwhich done by the International Center for Nutritional Research, states:
It is estimated that 70% of all medical illnesses, including cancer, are directly or indirectly caused by human intervention in the dental structures (teeth and jawbones).

The Cure for All Diseases
Written by Dr Hulda Regehr Clark
Dr Clark estimated that 80% of chronic diseases are caused by dental toxins.
Slowly loosing facial symmetry may be caused by dental toxins paralyzing facial muscles and nerves.
Research and statements like these forces us to take a second look at dental practices and dental materials.
There simply is no dental material that is 100% safe for all people and nothing a dentist does will ever heal your tooth. Much more likely, it will increase the damage to your tooth and long-term health since the tooth is weakened by drilling and subsequent filling with potentially toxic artificial materials (see here for a list).
The same is true for cosmetic dentistry. To fit veneers, the front part of the healthy toot is removed and replaced with a more appealing shell. The 'glue' used to bond the veneers to the teeth, as well as the veneers themselves, are manufactured with potentially toxic chemicals.
Potentially toxic means that some materials are toxic to some people and not to others. It can also mean that a material may become toxic years after it has been placed in the human body. Dental sensitivity can be compared to food allergies: some have it, some don't.
The safest and most biocompatible dental material is pure gold, however, at least 3% of people are sensitive to even gold.
